Climate issue is a Public Health issue most of all

The debate is an utter failure, for it is not even happening. Not even a proper discussion. At Copenhagen, what is being discussed do not include these three major areas and they need to be addressed.

1. The fact is that global warming causes wider spread of many diseases. Many of these are due to lack of sanitation, failure or lack of sewage treatment plants and the spread of disease on account of mis management of human excreta in the atmosphere. This CANNOT be solved by mere vaccines - something the pharma industries are counting on to make money - not create health, rather profiteering from disease. A topic no one seems to want to speak of.

2. Raw sewage treated, de-toxified and the methane gas produced can be converted into clean electricity. This is the big opportunity ahead and what must be done, if we are to save ourselves and the planet. It will solve the energy crisis, bring down prices, create jobs and improve public health. Yes, it is a no-brainer.

3. The military industrial complex, wars, production of weapons and vehicles for the so called warfare and "defense" of nations "business" - the war mongering is causing the global warming. We need dis-armament.

These 3 are subjects NOT being discussed at the global climate summit. The agenda is sabotaged by the UN, WHO, NATO as wel as G8 to suit their purposes.

People must wake up, take it back from the politics of it all... or we are doomed for sure.

The WHO ( World Health Organization ) is asleep at the wheel. Public health is in grave danger the world over. The WHO is putting out false "don't worry, the mutations of swine flu is ok, vaccines are on the way"... kind of message, while thousands are getting sick and many are dying.

Get your local community, local civic bodies ( a sleepy bunch if there is any !! ) to become informed. We don't need the UN and the WHO. Those folks who work there are out to let us all die while getting fat pay checks.. NOT doing their jobs... while sewage is pollutting the planet... our waters, air are unfit for human consumption.. YES.

I need your help.. to get the message out.. and the crowd is all going to be in Coppenhagen at the climate summit. Tell them, like it is. **** is hitting the fan folks.. and that is what is causing global warming and deaths...

World Needs 1,000 new sewage treatment plants - YES, urgently

This is the need of the hour..

The UN if it has any spine, commonsense or concern must do it

The Governments of the world must act on this - if we as a species must survive.

The WHO must push for it.

The merits :

1. Save lives and we will be able to manage and prevent epidemics such as swine flu in future.

2. Create new jobs - 5 million world wide.

3. Produce electricity from the bio-waste in these new facilities, solving the energy problem.

4. It will stop global warming.

5. Public health, sanitation and humanity will move to a new global dimension

The Prime Minister ought to talk **** for a change !!

Welcome Mr Manmohan Singh, PM of India, on your visit to the USA, specificaly to the White House State Presidential dinner with President Obama.

Here are 10 matters that Pres Obama & PM Singh ought to discuss :

1. Urgent - just as the NY Times front story in Nov 23 rd showed, NYC's sewage system is in serious trouble while India does not even have one... Indian Railway, a monopoly owned by Indian railway is causing a lot of death and disease. Mr Obama and Mr Singh should allocate US $ 10 Billion in funds ( take it from the army and military budgets... we can definately spend less.. YES LESS on war and more on dealing with **** ) to build 100 new sewage treatment plants in India and US. Yes we need them, and yes, Mr President and Mr PM.. please talk **** it is serious business and deadly. It can create 100,000 jobs in America and 500,000 jobs in India. YES, in this economy. It is a must, or we are going to have more swine flu like situations.

2. Call a global peace summit to talk PEACE in Afganisthan. This malady and violence cannot continue. There has to be a ceasefire. If Obama is going to accept the Nobel prize for Peace, then this is the least he must do. Sending trrops to war and accepting the peace Nobel ...is contradictory. To say the least.

3. Mr PM Singh MUST give Mr President Obama a selection of Mahatma Gandhi's writtings, particularly, those that deal with Peace and non-violence. Mr Obama said recently that he would like to have dinner with Gandhiji, if that were possible. I would say, Gandhiji would refuse to have dinner with Mr Obama, if he continues to allow the war and war mongering to go on.

4. Talk of a Post UN world vision. The UN has been an utter failure, and it is a shame that India is not even a security council member, even though it is the worlds largest democracy and has a population of 1.2 Billion people, and is the worlds second most populous country. A conference to debate the future of the UN is urgently needed. The UN is the problem...

5. The WHO - that organization which is suppose to take care of global health issues - needs an urgent overhauling.

6. Seek a WTO vote for ban on sales of weapons and trading. Yes, Obama, if you think you deserve the Nobel Peace prize - and I think you deserve it - Go for it. BAN WEAPONS TRADE.

7. Provide education on a lower cost and don't allow Universities as in CA to raise their fees as they are doing... Mr Singh, it is time to improve education in India... Make sanitation and cleanliness a subject of study central to the curriculm...

8. There is an ecological and environmental disaster in India that is not being addressed - Bhopal and its history still lingers with many other trouble spots... EPA please look at matters in India ( not that EPA is doing a great job... given so many faults in the US system... yet.. India needs the EPA to step up pressure here ) ... yes

9. A back to Gandhiji and his ways is urgently needed in India. This drive for India and America is a must... not just lip service... real serious following of The real Gandhi. Gandhiji. Peace, truth, Cleanliness...

10. Read Tagore and yes... follow his teachings. Tagore, Ruskin, Emerson, Thoreau, Tolstoy, Gandhiji.. these are the ones who taught us and warned us.. they are so correct...

Swine Flu can be spread through railway fecal dumping

This is serious inference and what is an observation of great public health implications.

I think the Mexican railways also dumps fecal matter in the open as in India, though the railnetwork in Mexico is smaller than in India - this fecal dust can be the cause of the swine flu H1N1 - if not in its actual creation, certainly in the spread of the disease.

The Earth is a village and our air polluted or contaminated in one location, over a city, country or the railway track network as in India and mexico... it spread as the wind and temperature conditions change to other parts of the globe... causing global pandemics.

Fixing the Indian Railway fecal dumping is a matter the WHO and CDC and other global agencies and bodies must be concerned about, as it is not a mere local problem.

I think WHO is failing in its obligations and duties on this matter, and if we are to belieive what happened in East Europe in the last few weeks, as swine flu has hit there, it is a classic example of how WHO and its bungling is evident. All the vaccines and medicines were locked up in a central store ...unavailable even when the problem hit.

Why is WHO not addressing the railway fecal dumping issue ? They are too involved with vaccine makers and pharmacuetical companies, that public health and preventive medicine principles and interests have been dropped or forgotten.

WHO is at fault on this grave matter. Shame.
