Saint Alphonsa - St. Alphonsa ... A day to reckon

This happens not even once in a blue moon
It happens NOT, even once in a century or a millennium
It just happens only Once. Period.
Today, a lady from Kerala, India, of our own family - was made a SAINT.

Her name is Alphonsa and what is even more
When that is what your own family is known by
When your own institution is known by that name
Has been known by that name for 50 years - It is a miracle.

Saint Alphonsa - St Alphonsa,
A great name, A great person, A great life,
A remarkable event today in Rome
Has changed history for ever - India has a new Saint amidst its millions.

It is a blessing beyond measure
It is truly inexplicable - as to timing, circumstances, history
It is what it is - 50 years ago - a hospital was named Alphonsa
Today - the person after whom the hospital was named - became a Saint.

Usually it is the other way around - institutions are named after Saints.
Here we have a situation wherein its the other way around
God's ways are mysterious - always amazing
Praise God - St Alphonsa lead us to good health, peace in the world.
