Debate ought to be about War or Peace !!

It is a sad situation that the presidential debate between Obama and McCain become more about posturing than about the real future.

The past has been about war - yes, sad but true - Uncle Sam has been doing war with... an endless list...... of peoples and countries, be it with Native Americans, Mexicans, British, French, Hondurans, Panamanians, Germans, Japanese, Koreans, Veitnamese, Iraqis, Russians, Kosovians, Spaniards, Canadians, fundamentalists, terrorists, etc etc.... The tie to stop is here. Now. Today.

The future is Peace - only about peace. It is "Peace or War" that the debate on the planet is on.

There are no other options at this time or age. War and so called "victory" in war - as war mongers and the old guys speak of, is a No No No no.

That age of war is over. That era of ignorance is over. That idiocy the world was thrown into for centuries is over. The new age is peace.

Disarmament is the only way to go. Disarmament is what is need to solve the economic crisis that the US is facing .

Disarmament is the way to solve the global warming crisis. It is also the way to solve the terrorist or call them what you like - independance wars that peoples of other cultre's and nationalitis are fighting for their own cause - what ever the other side calls it.

Paraphracing Shakespear, I will say " a war would stink just as bad were it called by any other name" - war on terror - national interest, colonialism, expansionism, class war, oil war, trade war what ever... war is war and war sucks. War sucks the human race of its best. War is EVIL and politicians who manipulate and manage war are as evil as can be. They create war, evil, to support their corproate and greedy buddies, to make money or to grab power.

Peace and we need leaders who can say it as it is. Peace is the only cause worth living for. Peacefully, in a non-violent form, through ways taught by Martin Luther King, Gandhiji, Christ, Buddha, Ashoka - follow peace.

Debate anyone and everyone on the needs for peace. Always peacefully. Debate though. Peace is the only way to solve our energy crisis. Economic crisis. Housing crisis.

The UN, that body that has been a failure - that meets annually in New York must talk and do peace. Not war. Shame on UN for its war supporting ways. The UN must have an embargo on weapons sale. This is a must.

The money saved can be used to fix problems of health , sanitation, education, housing the world over. Like the indian railways dumping human fecal matter on railway tracks that caus a milion people to get sick yearly in India...
