This is not a day to remember, yet it seems one destined to be, for today the numbers on Wall Street matched those one looks for on the strip "street" in Las Vegas. Main street ofcource always can be manipulated, as Henry Paulson has done from Wall Street and now with Peninsivalia Avenue as well fully in his posket, it seems obvious that bi=partisan support assured would make him the "richest man" in the world - atleast as to having the most money under his personal disposal and fiefdom.
Alas, that was not to be - at least not yet. Congress did the right thing, I would say, in voting down a bad bad bill - called bailout. This ransom for the Wall street looters, supported by Alberto Gonzalez and his politically appointed buddies on the court system that alowed crass politiization and do it anyway you like - we will look the other way justice system - he headed as attorney general - former friend and buddy cuncel to the president, who ought to be brought to justice, if anyting, ASAP.
Nancy Polosi was naive to go along and put the thing to vote giving it what she called democratic and bi-partisan support. Only to be shown that the republicans were ready to pul the rug from under her - she speaks of the economy in an un-bi-partisan way, says the republicans for voting it down Ha ha ....
What amazes me is the poor bad terrible showing Hnry Paulson, the treasury secretary di,peaking to the media. He seems to have lost it completly. He was speaking like a guy who used to work on Wall street and has now landed on gutter street and had a gun on his head, and di ot know if he was coming or going. He said he had a toolbox.. appealing to blue colar voters I guess, and that he had the tool kit... just that it was not sufficient. Sufficient as in volume on the exchange or something, speaking again to main street blue collar, I presume.
Go, resign. Mr Paulson, you sound as bad as anything I have heard from any secretary or minister of finance, a treasury that seems as bankrupted by corruption and war. War always brings failure, and an unjust war is the worst thing anyone can do - to promote economic growth. Raping people, killing children, pulling people out of their homes, throwing them in prison be it in Gontanmobay or Abu Garib... injustice wil never go unpunished. God the alighty is all powerful. Repent and seek God's mercy. I am sad to say this, and yet i is the truth.
Ransom was not paid and in that act the Hous of Congress in US did the right thing.
